We are not a family, we are a collective.
Your family is your family. To say we are is insincere. We are a collective of individuals who share common beliefs around what is good & what is important. That’s what unites us and allows us to build real relationships within the team.
Prepare & regularly get uncomfortable.
We’re constantly making decisions with minimal information, not enough time, not enough experience etc. That’s the nature of what we do & we accept the risks of that.
KOHO will be the summation of those collective decisions & being prepared is the best way to improve our odds of being right.
We are here to build; build a team, build a product, build our character, build our craft.
We are not here to delegate, manage, outsource etc. The world has enough of that. If you’re at KOHO, you’re here to build.

Disagreements are healthy & need to be de-stigmatized. Everyone here is smart and arrived at their opinion for good reason so don’t be afraid to challenge opinions in order to better understand one another and make better decisions. Once a decision is made, we all row the same direction.
Use technology to amplify our humanity.
Technology is not a substitute for connection. We’re emotional creatures and what we build is an extension of who we are as people.
Act with conviction & understand being misunderstood is the price of opportunity.
Accept that for most people this is an inherently foolish endeavour. Challenging the big banks isn’t rational, but if you see what we see, the path we’re on is inevitable. The opportunity only exists because most people don’t know that yet.
Work hard and go fast.
The opportunity we have is limited. We have competitors that are 1000x bigger than us.
